My name is Jannell and I am life-long lover of all things travel, an admin extraordinaire, a habitual blogger, social media devotee, small business digital marketer and wannabe nomad. Click here for other fun facts about me.
This blog was started as a way to share the experience of my around-the-world journey (in celebration of my 40th birthday). During the research, I found a passion studying travel-related gear & services and eventually my family started calling me a ‘gearologist’. Even after the completion of my journey, gearology is still an obsession.
I’ve been around the world, but still yearn for more travel. My new mission is to craft a location independent lifestyle that will give me the freedom to live/work from anywhere. While I work on this goal, I’ll be reflecting on my around-the-world journey, continue my study of travel gear & services, and interview other travelers on the road.
Why Stay Tuned?
If you’ve been bitten by the travel bug yourself, or are looking for travel gear & services to enhance your own trips, stick around! This blog is dedicated to sharing tales from around the world and delving deeper into the travel gearology abyss :)
Along with updates on my goal to become location independent, you’ll get my reviews on travel-related gear & services and the ‘Living Out Of A Suitcase’ series where I interview other travelers regarding their ‘must haves’. In early 2013, I’ll start interviewing new long-term travelers about their motivations and experiences ‘On The Road’.
