Earth Class Mail provides a U.S. mailing address to one of their service centers and they will scan the front and back of any envelopes (or boxes) received on your account. You can login to your virtual mailbox on a computer or mobile device to review your mail. Depending on your service plan, you can then decide if the mail should be opened and scanned, shipped to you (wherever you are in the world), or shredded/recycled.
The $19.95 month-to-month Virtual Mailroom plan allows up to 100 pieces of mail to be received, 5 users and one business name, 30 days of storage, and LIVE customer service (yes, talking to a real human being!). Signing up online is easy, but you’ll need to send Earth Class Mail a Postal Consent form (so the USPS has authorization to send your mail to a service center). You must also provide a copy of your photo identification as well as proof that you receive mail at your current address.
Expect more mail to be received? Need other mail solutions? No problem. Earth Class Mail has different service plans available. Other cool services they can provide include opening & scanning your mail, check depositing, parcel storage & shipping, or having the option to select a premium U.S. street address or P.O. Box in a different state.
Earth Class Mail seems to be the only virtual mailbox service for U.S. citizens and while they offer basic mail receiving plans, there are small fees associated with different services (suggestion – read the fine print carefully!). However, I like that with Earth Class Mail I can control my mail remotely; that unwanted junk mail is screened out and that my security isn’t compromised should a random individual decide to visit my residental address.
